Celebrating 200 years beekeeping in Australia – since 1822
Some 600 people from Australia, England and New Zealand celebrated these 200 years of history at the Rosehill Turf Club, Sydney. Highlights included “The History of Beekeeping in Australia”, images of bygone years in beekeeping, displays of old beekeeping books and equipment including books, honey tins, smokers, an old beekeeping truck and more.
Much emphasis was on new and emerging technology, and current research, a National Honey, Mead and Photographic Competition and a large Trade Show of suppliers with the smallest items to large trucks.
